Has anyone used this product? I'm running Symantec Antivirus 10.0 currently. The last McAffee product I touched was a small disaster.

Trendmicro's product is nearly 40% cheaper than Symantec.

edit: I know nothing about eset products. I'll do some research today but could use some experience.

edit: Trendmicro or eset, no exchange, build for 20 users in a DHCP Server 2003/XP environment.

Exchange server virus/spam protection is under the national umbrella (no local requirement).

I can't believe that not one IT professional can give me any input on this rather common product.

    Please help.

My fucking gaming forum, maybe 1/10th the size, has good input.

I was really hoping I could get a feel for the pro's cons of the different solutions.

first post edited for what I gathered from a few other forums.

The problem is that most places use Symantec or McAfee (god help them all). I'd would love to give you input on it but out of the several hundred companies I've done projects with over the years none have used Trend for their desktop/server virus protection. All I can really comment on is their exchange product (excellent and very popular with our exchange consultants) and their consumer product (that I use, also excellent). I can also tell you they usually are very quick to issue updated defs when something new pops up.

we switched from symantec to avg. AVG has been a lot easier to manage, lighter and catches all the stuff that symantec didn't.

Trend micro SMB is a great product. I have it installed on 4 or 5 enterprises.

Thank you. How much inital rollout effort and ongoing maintenance is required? My only experience is with Symantec 10.x.

    my fault and already fixed.

Never used Symantec, but Trend has a nice server maintenance webapp which allows you to view/manage/etc all clients and servers on your domain (assuming you're running AD or at least a workgroup). You can setup scheduled updates, scans and such. All around great product

Your opinion seems to be the concensus. Thanks for the help.
