trying to get the IR transceiver on my dell to work....

    The IR transceiver on my Dell Latitude D620 doesnt seem to have a driver installed, and I'm not sure how to get it going.... anyone know how? I need to get a picture off of a Nokia phone without data. thanks

    1. Make sure it's enabled in the BIOS. It probably takes the place of the COM2 serial port. Set it to IrDA mode, if you have the option.

    2. You'll probably need to get a driver from Dell, though Windows Update might be able to find one for you.

    3. You'll still need software that can talk to your phone.

    Don't use your phone to take pictures unless you're willing to spend the money on the data cable -- and if you are willing to spend money on the data cable, buy a real camera with better resolution and no shitty proprietary accessories.
