I always try to analyze how/why I feel a certain way sometimes, especially when it involves negative feelings (envy, anger). I want to understand why I feel the things I feel and it's hard sometimes. It's all a giant mix of things in there and trying to sort them out isn't easy.

    But anyone else do this?

Normally there's more than meets the eye. Feelings are composed of things we may not even be conciously aware of, so trying to anylize them is not easy. Is there any reason you do this, or is it just something you kinda do?

I'm trying to understand myself better I guess.

Might be an engineer/guy mentality. When there's a problem, find out the source, troubleshoot, fix it.

I do this all the time. I am an over-thinker and try to understand why things happen . . . When I think about why I feel mad or angry it usually comes from fear or lack of control about a situation . . . and that's after me thinking it TO DEATH!

Yeah I'm quite obsessed about it actually. I want to understand the way I (and other people) think. It's like solving a puzzle.

Well understanding that anger leads to nowhere and doesnt solve anything is enough reason for me to never get angry. Its useless so i dont use it.
