Yay!!! Good times!
I really hope they show some more training (not just running on a tredmill) and the coaching involved this season. I would've really liked to see more of the practices especially with Couture. I have a feeling this season will just be over the top dramatic WWE bullshit between Shamrock and Tito. Either way, free fights, new fighters, and more positive exposure for MMA. That's always good.
it is going to be SO good. Don't have a tv... so I will download it.
also Ultimate FIght night Live tonight
Hopefully Bisping will do well
It's nice to see some UK fighters on it though
I've been waiting for this
let's hope the drama is not over the top
I'm expecting tons of shameless xyience plugs.
Guys, xyience is my number 1 thing, one shake in the morning, and one before sleep every day. - Joe Stevenson.
the plugs for xyience i can ignore, but fake drama would really piss me off
ultimate fight night is on too!
Shit, I need to go buy a blank vhs tape so I can tape this for tigre!!!! crap crap crap...
I'm excited tho, this should be cool shit tonight.
i hate the xyience plugs
you think it'd be enough with the xyience clothing, vending machine, octagon, intros, outros, credits and other apparell and equipment.
when's fight night....9?
" Xyience is great! I eat, sleep, breathe, and shit xyience! "
Hmmm...while watching TUF I'm thinking that Shamrock is using methods from a time past and Ortiz actually seems like a really nice guy. I'm thinking that Ortiz is going to produce the better fighters this season.
i like the changes made this season...no coasting your way to semi finals without even fighting...no more stupid xyience plugs...and no more team challenges
truth. and some interesting coaches. there will be some kick ass match ups.
more fighting = more better
Yeah I was surprised as well. I think Shamrock is planning on finding the best guys in the weight classes and focusing on making them shine, everyone else on the team is meat for the grinder (i.e., if you came in with weak ground skills, nothing in the short time they have is going to help much). He's probably figuring that a few months diet and cardio will get more drastic results than a couple of months of JJ training.
Ortiz really does seem like a cool guy. I was impressed with what I saw.
Dean lister owns...his team will own.
looks like it's going to be a good season. My wife and I were both shocked about Ortiz... neither one of us really care for him, but we were both impressed with his hands on coaching.
I also came away with a different impression of Ortiz than I had before the show. We'll see how long this carries.
However, his team picks were pretty terrible. Team Shamrock is going to win several fights in a row.
I would have liked to see some sort of challenge to determine who got "The Hammer" because having control of the fights is a HUUUUGE advantage. To big to be determined by a coin toss.
