any suggestions for good music to have along for deployment?
get as much music possible. it doesn't matter what the hell you listen to, download the fuck out of music.

I was in bmt flight with a lucas, then he went to keesler, and after they all got fucked by the hurricanes i seen him again at sheppard. his tech school wasout 20-25 wks? longer than mine
so are you at Ellsworth?

when i was deployed in afghan all we had for a while was Metallica ST Anger cd. jesus christ i got sick of that damn cd. we would listen to it before each mission

My "Top List" for travel..over 28 hours of continuous music... (( and , I'm showing my age with the list, but the 30+ guys will know most/all of these )).. just a shade over 2.4Gb of music ...should fit on any decent size MP3 player

lol.. here is another list that I have burnt into a 3 CD set that basically all my friends (and a lot of others on base) have sitting in their cars .... as one officer put it " that's real steering wheel thumping music "..

I was thinking more about "Desert Rose".
I took over 20 gigs of music on my last 5 month deployment and listened to every last bit of it at least once and a lot of it over and over. So yeah, bring as much as you can.
