Finally got all my lightning protection setup. Surge drains on the incoming coax before the cable modem and a UBNT ethernet surge after the cable modem to protect the network.

also installed a UBNT smart plug to reset the cable modem if the uplink become unresponsive, but I have to order a new power supply so that it fits in the panel.

the whole box runs off of UPS power too.

what speeds do you get from the AP and what do you pay for from your ISP?

Speeds on a M1 mac air / iPhone are around 500 - 600'ish. I have AT&T 1gig fiber. I have a very weird house layout so the signal flow is not exactly smooth. The AP is hardwired with a Cat6 to a UDM SE, about 25'.
