I'm not sure how I feel just yet.
The Sanchez match was fairly terrible though.
no way Sanchez won that fight. Total horseshit.
Hell I would've taken the 8 or 9 punches that Royce took from Hughes for the $1.4 mil
sanchez did NOT win that fight. Like I told the bouncer in the bar, alessio won the fight, but he probably wont win it. There was SO much he could have done with diego on his back, but he didn't do shit.
And the Gracie Hughes fight, wasn't bad, didn't turn out how I thought it would though. I said it while it was happening and I'll say it again, his arm probably would have broken before he tapped. I think Hughes realized this and let go. Too much damn respect for the man to break his arm.
What I don't understand though is why Gracie didn't try to roll forward and get Hughes off his back. He didn't really seem to do much of anything once he got his back.
the third round was amusing where Alessio walked over to his corner for instructions
That was fucking hilarious. Once he had Sanchez's arm like that , he should have just fell back and slammed him into the mat, but held on fucking tight to that arm. Press him into the mat and get more leverage on that arm.
Or just kept it standing, twisted it a bit different and go for the shoulder
I really don't like the way Spencer Fisher acts
I felt that way from what I saw in weigh-ins but after round 1, what a punk
I missed it all.
I'm looking over the results, and noticed Brandon Vera's victory. Under 3 minutes in the first round.
Swick winning is nice as well.
maybe sanchez won the fight because he was the agressor...i was pissed how alessio was just in don't get taken down mode...he should have been on offense more...but diego absolutely did not win a 30-27 decision
hughes gracie fight vid
Sanchez was a joke.
you dont really know what youre talking about, eh?
i think he did fine.. its really hard to fight someone who just keeps trying to back off the whole time.. the only thing alessio did was throw a jab once in a while. sanchez was pressing the fight
what did he do?
hey searcher looks like you get no $$$ .... sorry lol.. fer sum reason i cant stand matt hughes ..
how was the diesel/swick fight ??? i kno swick won but was it a good fight ?? decision ?? ko??
Ahhhh no worries......I wish big john would have let it go to one more round.....Maybe there will be a rematch.......I don't think that is going to sit well with the Gracie camp......
swick tapped him out.. it was decent. nothing spectacular
Man Hughes bent Royce's arm so bad but Royce didn't even show a wince of pain that man is ridiculously flexible and hardcore.
what about the horn match?
That was amazing his expression did not change and hughes had that cranked.
My thoughts Hughes dominated on the ground he got side control twice and then got his back he finished as he needed too.
Dean Lister has a killer guard.
Swick caught someone in a quick submission again
Riggs got caught again
How did Alessio win? He spent the whole fight running away from Sanchez. He might have had 20 seconds total of offense for the entire fight.
I think it was fair too. How can you win a fight if you keep running away the whole time? Also Sanchez Def. won the last round : Alessio couldn't get him off of his back and Sanchez laid down a last second beating.
Alessio won rounds 1 and 2. Sanchez won round 3 with sitting on Alessio's back.
This is from the UFC Rules:
*Effective striking and grappling. This is based on a sliding scale. Where the majority of a round takes place will be more heavily weighted than the other. hence if the round is primarily standing, striking will take precedence over grappling
*IF and only if effective striking and grappling are deemed to be a draw, then octagon control and effective aggression are used the tie breakers. effective is bolded because that's exactly how it's written the UFC rules. Aggression has to have a pay off to be counted.
Where did Diego's aggression pay off? It didn't so you have to give the first 2 rounds to Alessio.
