I have 2 hard drives, one (smaller one) with the OS and necessary progs and the other solely for media. I recently reinstalled windows on my main drive, downloaded the CCCP codec pack because I had heard it'd be the only one I'd need, and left it at that since I figured my 2nd harddrive would not be affected at all (I've reformatted before and have followed the same method except for which drivers I dl'ed because I don't remember). Now, though, when I try to open a file, it either says cannot render file, which is a codec problem I'd think, but also on some files, it opens a completely different file. For example, if I try to open a chappelle show episode, it'll open a Pink floyd dvd or something. Doesn't happen with every file, but quite a few. I've tried running scan disk and I'm defragging right now as I type this, any idea what it could be?
