So what's the deal with this service? Do you have to cancel it before the 12 month period ends and you get charged or does it just end and if you want to continue, you initiate the payment?

I got the email and registered. I'm waiting on a second email from Debix with account confirmation/details. Upon signing up for this service, it doesn't even ask for your SSN.. kinda makes me wonder how effective this monitoring is without such a key piece of information. I know PSN didn't have your SSN, but still. If it's gonna guard against identity theft, I would imagine SSN being the biggest piece of the puzzle.

So your profile is just your name, email, home address and phone. That's it. I don't understand how this will protect you but I'm in anyways. Supposedly they bounce your shit off many databases acquired by known scammers.

Would they get that from your bank/credit/debit card provider?

I would be remiss about giving my SSN over the Internet.
