What do most marines feel about other marines that use marijuana.
dont let it effect work and keep a good supply of niacin
a B vitamin that when taken in a large enough dose will flush out you system for piss tests - a get out of jail free card. FOund at any GNC, CVS etc...
if you tell a Marine recruiter that you have smoked marijuana 50 times in your life, and have done psychedelics multiple times (but never been arrested, college gradute, good person in general) are they going to tell you to fuck off?
no. when they asked me how many times I smoked, I laughed in his face. I said at least 50-60, he wanted a solid number, so we settled on 55. What, I was supposed to keep track of 3+ years of mj use? Gimmie a break. Got a waiver no problem. But you can stetch the truth with him as much as you want, he is doing the same thing to you.
So does that mean you get a waiver for each time you smoked?
I'd be swimming in waivers
no, just one. best bet is not to tell him shit though. as long as you are clean when you go to meps / boot, you're fine.
can't they just kick you out for lying though
I'd rather just tell him and get it off my chest. Plus I've never been in any trouble and all the smoking hasn't effected my health.
you are the only one who would be able to turn yourself in for lying in this case though. if you're clean, you're clean. dont sweat it. the first day/night of boot they will put a lot of pressure on the new recruits to come forward if they lied about anything, but just keep your cool becasue like I said, as long as you're clean at the time, there is no proof of prior use.
ESPECIALLY if you have never been in any trouble due to it. Save yourself the headache.
only 50-60 times?
I'm not a very good liar
(in response to Twisted)
Sorry if I wasn't very clear. All that info is good and I appreciate it, but I meant from your fellow soldiers, not admin.
Also I started this thread while stoned.
the first day boot before we took the piss test they told us that they will be able to detect any drugs that you have used in your entire life. i laughed at the bull shit and as sooo many people walked foward to tell them about how they did drugs
and for people in the military that do drugs, well im an MP, so thatll probably tell you how i feel about it. I've seen tons of marines get busted for doing drugs. not worth it.
you think it doesn't matter but it does. Someone else's life might depend on you doing your job properly. Do you feel it's okay to put someone else's life at risk?
Whats the worst they can do if you tell them truthfully that you've smoked weed 50 times and dabbeled in psychedelics? The waiver: okay. Is a waiver that much of a negative reflection on yourself? I'm a totally clean person, no trouble (that was documented by the cops ) Ive never been an addict or sold drugs, or even gotten arrested etc...
But if I get a waiver, is that going to be held against me when it comes to promotion, etc..?
i could care less ... they all know what will happen if they get caught ...
my friends do it sometimes ... both are still in ...
it wont be held against you for promotions or anything.
