$99 up front and $60 a month...
that's hella expensive
not really expensive. $99 buy-in for hardware isn't horrible.
$60/mo for UNLIMITED usage is also on-par with competing technologies.
holy fuck that's bulky
does my macbook have one of those evda ports?
Anywhere Verizon is.
whats the point of this thread? this isn't anything new
Just letting people know that it's available and it works with the MBP out of the box.
This is so awesome for stock traders.
it sucks for stock traders with macbooks
well if you were a SUCCESSFUL stock trader you'd have a pro and wouldn't have this problem.
oh, and Linksys has announced they've made (and are waiting to release) a USB dongle that would take a Cardbus card. So that would solve your problems for cheap buyers of macbooks.
If i were a stock trader, I would take that with mild offense
if I needed a macbook pro, i would have bought one. faggot, don't start this shit
From the verizon wireless site, I'm seeing $179.99 with 2-year contract for the expresscard. Unlimited data is $79.99/month.
The prices that you guys listed-are those with Voice plans?
That's the prices I saw as well.
Keep in mind there are other accessories that are coming out. This one caught my eye, but does not work with Expresscard. I'm sure one is coming out though!
Wireless card would be nice, but I'm not that mobile. I'm thinking I'll get an eSata card to fill my mac crack!
