It's gonna get me all the ladies at the gym/while running.
Have any others been converted?
don't wear them in the gym. wear them at the park, preferably not after a long dry spell
I speak from experience- these are really comfy in soft grass, but that's about it
I wear them to gym, unless im playing Bball. Running with them is rough and I still havent gotten used to it, but its getting better.
I rock them to the gym every day...
they're the new hotness.
I can't rock those, at least not at this point in time
in...about to mod them soon too
just got a pair and wore them to the gym the first time yesterday. I like them for leg day. I plan on starting to run in them soon
Mod them how ?
love em. get called platypus by the manager of my gym for them. get asked all the time wtf i have on my feet or why i wear 'socks' around the gym haha
my pinky toe doesnt quite fit into its sleeve. i tried ironing the rubber to stretch it out a little, which helped, but it's still not comfortable. next im gonna try to merge the sleeve of the pinky toe and the toe next to it by sewing them together. i am confident this will work
Yeah my pinky toe beens inward a good amount so I have to push it into the last pocket. I see what you mean though by making the pinky toe and the 4th toe into one pocket though...could be good but I don't want to fuck mine up.
@PcH - why two pairs? What models?
@running crew - I ran down the street in them last night and it felt so crazy. It makes you run correctly because if you run heel to toe then you're in for a world of pain. You just run on your mid/front foot and lightly run on the surface like humans were made to do.
would be cool if one day they become socially acceptable for restaurants/bars.... and for manual laborers a kevlar toped version?
It'll be a LONG time (if at all) that these become more socially acceptable. I'm thankful I can get away with them at my current job. Only times I can think of not wearing them would be riding my motorcycle or if I'm wearing a suit.
I don't think Kevlar would help, especially since it breaks down when exposed to chlorine which is common in pools and cleaning products.
yea but how many people are actual pool cleaners, i was thinking construction workers..
I use them for dinghy sailing in the warmer weather when my gill boots are too much.
prolly need steel toed shoes for construction. and even if they offered steel toed vibrams, i think that kind of defeats the purpose. plus there's always the chance you can get one toe hooked on something and break it.
I wore that to school a few times. The frat boys laughed at me
I think I'd laugh out loud if I saw someone wearing those. Cool and all just look so unbelievably stupid.
Did you order on-line? No stores near me and I want to try these but am nervous about ordering a strange size without trying some on.
checking these out
nephew has a pair and he wears my size. i might try them on this weekend and see how they feel
a lot of people chuckle, its a great conversation piece
