For those of you taking b12, what is your current dose? Im taking 500mcg daily. Too much?
B12 is water soluble, any excess is urinated out.
I've got 1000mcg methylcobalamine pills, they tend to relax me for about 45minutes but don't notice much other than that.
that doesnt even make sense.
just because you supplement one vitamin does not mean that you take less of the others.
If one has low levels of iron (or ferritin or whatever marker they use). There's a bunch of things that can cause low iron level, especially being a vegetarian.
On a side note, this lady I work with who just got put on an MAOI said she cannot have vitamin B12. She said this cuz I was drinking a Red Bull and she's like "I can't have those anymore." I'm like "why, cuz of the caffeine?" She said "no," looked at the ingredients on the can, and said "cuz of the B12." I'm like "weird." I thought that was a regular vitamin.
She has this whole list she carries around of things she's not allowed to have.
I shoot 1cc about every two weeks cause I always forget to take it. Doctors suggest 1 shot a week. I cant remember how much each ML has, probably 500mg
B12 and other B vitamins are what the body uses to convert energies. It doesnt really do much itself, but if you're in a fat burning mode it helps fat convert better.
It also allegedly stimulates the appetite, but I've never tried it to find out.
I've never particularly noticed this, but there have been a few times where I've gotten hungry after taking b12...
