VNC works too slow for the mac.
for me, only the gui appears to be slow. My goal once I get my powerbook in another year is to use the mini as a headless file server, and control it though the pb.
VNC works great for me. I use Chicken of the VNC client on my PB to connect to an UltraVNC server on my desktop PC.
I mean the other way, PC to Mac is slow. Too much graphics for it to draw.
I saw an article recently about a guy who has a PocketPC with 640 x 480 resolution with a wireless data card from his cell phone company of choice. He had VNC client running on the PocketPC and VNC server running on his Mac at home and used one of those dynamic DNS services. Whenever he's traveling or just out to lunch or whatever, he opens a full-screen VNC session on his PocketPC to his Mac at home and do most anything (other than gaming) that he could do while sitting in front of the Mac, essentially giving him a pocket-sized Mac.
OSXvnc / Chicken Of The VNC here
i would sex for that
