Voting will end in 3 days.
few good ones this time..
I'm curious to see how number 2 was taken
Number two meets the objective of the contest, but is otherwise visually unappealing. Number one is more appealing, but boring. A vine? How is that concentric?
atleast they entered something
I'm seeing the vine as #3...
Does this mean we each see different numbers?
If the vine actually wrapped around the bar that would've been interesting.
There should be the option to spoil your ballet in protest of a shitty theme.
i voted for the worst
i voted 4, cos i work with glass
I voted for number one because of obvious reasons
#2 definitely conveys the theme the best thats for sure.
how was this taken? what is that?
photo owner should PM intheworks and let us know what that is a shot of.
oven coils with a flashlight beam down the middle
I seriously should've entered an oven coil shot.
that would have been funny
new assignment is up
I guess I won For those who were wondering how the shot was taken. I had this glass orb with solar panels inside that rested on a needle (would rotate in the sun) so I had an idea to put a light source behind it to outline it.
looking at the shot, I noticed the glass was dirty so I went to wash it and somehow I busted the solar panel (they exploded and left black residue all over the inside) amd in an effort to clean the inside I broke the base for it. This left me with a lightbulb type object, so I set it up to put the light source in the middle and shot head on
and then rather then just having one circle, i set a 5 second exposure and zoomed out
To get more distinct rings, I set a 6 sec exposure at the highest fstop I could, and zoomed out as i went. However, this time I covered the lens as I zoomed out, uncovered it for a split second to capture the rings at that point, covered it to zoom back more, uncovered it etc until i had 6 concentric circles or so.
Awesome. Very creative.
I thought it was a shot through a Corrugated Plastic Pipe with a light at the end
haha after the effort you went through to take the short I definitely think it was worth the win, gj
edit: not saying effort is everything in photography....but this one worked out well for the contest theme...
