Does anyone know of a good router that has good vpn support? The router would only be connected to 1-3 PCs.

end point so that I can connect to the network and it makes it appear that i am in the network when in reality i'm connecting through the internet from a differnet network.

Any options that don't involve hacking? I dunno about the OP, but I'd be interested to know what prosumer options are available.

Prosumer? Lots. But do you wanna spend $400+?

For the consumer models, linksys has some models with native support. Honestly, tho, dd-wrt isn't really a "hack" it's a zillion times more stable than the genuine linksys firmware. Even if you didn't want VPN endpoint support, I'd still recommend dd-wrt to any wrt54g owner.

So DD-WRT supports this? That's awesome.

yep, works like a charm with the vpn client built-in to winxp (which is nice that no 3rd party software required on teh client)

    Dammit, DD-WRT still doesn't support the WRT54GC.

dd-wrt micro will work on a WRT54GC... But it's not worth it, imo. Way too feature-limited.

Then I guess I shouldn't tell you that my eyes glass over when I look at the options in the stock firmware.

No, I already know that you are unable to comprehend any task more comlpex than the childs square, round, triangle pegs/holes game. This is nothing new.
