anyone got any tips on how to wash without fading?
wash cold, use liquid soap, and hang dry.
stop starching if you are.
how do u get your nice creases then? i used to get them pressed every week but no more.
i can't stop. it's heroin for my uniform
ok people here is the way to get those uniforms to last.
My dad owns a drycleaners. So here are a couple tips.
Drycleaning your uniform will make the color last longer(I dont mean just taking it to a drycleaners, because sometimes they will throw it in a washing machine)
You can still get creases if they press them good, but it wont last as long as starching does.
Cold water, hang dry as already mentioned if you are going to do it yourself.
And make sure you turn them inside out when washing.
Hope this helps.
I ALWAYS wear my sleeves up. I set the crease right after they are dry with an iron set on the highest setting. You can take a solution of equal parts vinegar and water, wet a washcloth with it and press it onto the crease. Then iron the crease into place. Let dry, then wash so you won't stink like vinegar. Then iron again after dry. The crease will stay and you won't have to put much work into it.
Obviously starching will result in a sharper looking crease, but I like my BDUs feeling like cotton and being able to breathe.
what does the vinegar do? i've heard of using vinegar before but blew it off as myth
I'm lazy. I have my dry cleaned.
does something to the fabric to make it keep a crease, you can also remove creases with it.
wash it in cold water inside out.
Wash machine and dryer FTW
