Well if you had actually read the article (which was quoted), you wouldn't have missed this...
I don't get it, then. Why is it news if they know it was an April Fools joke?
It's more to highlight the fact that companies could put anything they want into web TOS (and even game TOS to that extent) and noone would be any the wiser. It's one of those obvious news stories that highlights something everyone already knows but could potentially screw an individual over.

Have you ever read EA and Microsofts and, not as much of an extent, Sony's privacy policies and shit?
They gather ALL of your data, and give it to any third party companies...and then state that they are not liable for what the third party companies do with your information so it's your job to go research them yourself.
