Went hiking around the hills at Sibley today - was awesome to see water / streams / green everywhere. Really hit me how little water we get in general. It was nice yet sad at the same time.

Recommend seeing some nature between rains this season.

All of Montecito on mandatory evacuation. But the 101fwy is flooded and shut down. :eek3:

That could turn into a huge disaster, like 5 years ago :eek3:

Family in Carmel valley / by the sea say it’s popping’ out there. The river is flooding the valley, looks wild from the footage.

Did things just hit critical mass / saturation? It seems like stuff is consistently ramping up.

The creek down in Gilroy overflowed onto the 101. The creek behind my parents house is connected to the creek so I'm pretty concerned that it might flood. Still remember as a kid in '97 and see that creek hella flowing.

This all reminds me of El Niño in the 90’s.

lived in Big Sur and the highway washed into it he ocean. The canyon we lived up was a river. It was wild. People airlifted out.

Lived in my mom’s work parking lot in a borrowed camper for a few months.
