Drove by a reservoir that's a few miles from my place.
It was hella full.
I used to bike by there all the time when I lived down the hill from there. I remember at one point it was so dry I had to look it up, and it was at like 3% capacity or something

I think we're all set. Aunt was in the flood zone but it hasn't rained much this afternoon and I think a lot of the water should receed in the next day or so. Hopefully the next round isn't as bad.
No LOL Tulare is much larger and less remote than Kettleman city. Hosts the largest ag trade show in the world every year and a couple of major ag firms are hq’d there.
I’ve got a self storage project that’ll be coming out of ground in Tulare in a couple of months. New subdivisions all around it.
Looks like the warning is for Northeastern Tulare County, not the city of Tulare…Woodlake, Orosi, other small towns out there.
I’ve been getting bid invites for tilt ups and shopping centers in Visalia like crazy the last two weeks. The fuck is going on up there?

Industrial park has been popping since the city/caltrans dramatically improved 99 access a few years ago
A couple new retail projects on S Mooney that have been in the pipeline for a while are finally moving
Bunch of Caltrans projects just hit the list up there too. Big ones, 9-10 figure jobs
There’s a large medical facility with surrounding retail (~80 acres total) in progress across the 99 from the great wolf site, that entire exit will need to be substantially upgraded to service it all. Also the industrial park is expanding west of the 99 now which requires a bunch of infrastructure work.
Local healthcare district needs to build a new hospital within the next ~10 years also, old one apparently can’t be upgraded to the seismic retrofit standard they’re supposed to meet by 2030 I believe. Lots of major construction around here for the next several years.
Kaiser has about 12 new hospitals in preaward bid status right now.
