Already have over an inch and a half of snow in an hour, and I'm only at 2400 feet.

Last I heard, they were predicting snow down to 1000 ft in my area. People will lose their minds if that happens. The nearest mountains, which rarely get any snow at all, are 5000 ft so they'd basically be covered. I can't wait to see it.

There were reports of isolated areas on the central valley floor getting some snow. I'm already planning on skipping work tomorrow if it goes all night. Fuck dealing with snow on a highway down to 1000 feet and all the people that have no clue how to deal with it.

Ocotillo Wells got wrecked. Reported 95mph winds. Took out 4.5mi of power poles on Poleline Rd.

We camp out there often right where it happened. Would hate to be stuck out there during that wind.

That's worse than I've ever experienced. At 65-70 sand gets in fucking everything. Can't imagine it at 80+ sustained.

I would be pretty far in the hole for the hotel. If I am not in a rush and leave at like 4pm I figure it will be safe enough to take my time, not really in a rush...

According to the weather station at the top of the Palm Springs tram, it's currently 12 degrees with 50 mph wind gusts at the top (8500 ft). The wind chill must be nuts.

Tree came down last night with the wind. GF’s car is the front one - it got the back 2 vehicles. Glad it went this direction and not through our windows

A crew came tonight to chop it up and haul it away. That tree was always good for sunset pics from our rooftop balcony so hopefully they replace it lol

Did you hear about the tree that fell and killed someone in her parked car in Anaheim a couple of days ago?

No, but there was one just a few years ago in San Diego on Ingraham … car was moving too

These trees come up way too often. One closed down Balboa Park a few weeks ago. And another palm fell and hit a car only a block away last month. It’s definitely an issue

BTW, highly recommended to go up to the top. The hidden valley up there is so fuckin neat.

Yeah we went up there last month with the kids. Unfortunately we didn't make it up there until fairly late the afternoon, so time was short, but the kids got a chance to do some sledding. My 8 year old wants to go back and just explore in the snow some more.
