Get a Miele & you can’t go wrong. Same with vacuum cleaners.

How long do the Boschs last? I go through a new GE/Whirlpool/etc every 3 years - run it once a day, sometimes twice.

Thermador if you want a Bosch made product but aren't aggressively poor
We recently ordered a suite of Thermador appliances

truthfully they are great for bars or for secondary uses but otherwise, go Miele or Bosch

We have a kitchenaid with 3 racks which is nice since I can put cups, glasses and small bowls on the top rack but the downside is that it takes longer to run and I think only 1 sprayer sprays at a time to keep it quieter. Sometimes I prefer my old loud dishwasher that ran at full blast but washed dishes much faster and seemed to have more water pressure.

The kitchenaid cleanwater wash system is pretty neat though as there is no screen I need to clean though it does have a detachable filter with bars that catches large chunks.

I use to put cooking utensils. It's nice.
Same, they don't take up space in the top rack and wont hit the propeller on the bottom.

On a related not, I've found that moving the top rack down to accommodate bigger items typically causes issues with things below. Cool feature but hard to pull off without tetrising the shit out of stuff to make it work

yeah, I'm not moving anything around because it's a pain. If it's that big, I'll handwash it.
Quick question about Bosch. Is everyone using Finish?

Highly recommend in r/appliances for Bosch/Thermador and just about any other dishwasher. Since Bosch doesn't use a heating element for drying it's useful.

Yes, this sucks.
I wanted a panel-ready and can't even find them with a backorder date. Just "Not Available" for the 500 and 800.
Yup. My current bosch is perfectly fine, but I wanted new everything with the renovation.

The best panel-ready I could find that was available this century was this miele, which I just know I'm going to regret.

Fuck you CITY
Bosch and other condensation drying are trash. Despite people raving these will never get dishes as dry as on with a heated dryer and humidity sensor. As a result they won't do as well on certain types of loads. Don't understand the raves about Bosch, had one and it was pretty trash.
