Bosch and other condensation drying are trash. Despite people raving these will never get dishes as dry as on with a heated dryer and humidity sensor. As a result they won't do as well on certain types of loads. Don't understand the raves about Bosch, had one and it was pretty trash.
800 series don't use just condensation. They use some fancy ass crystals. From what I've read, they are the best at drying without risking plastics. :dunno:

I grew up emptying the dishwasher with a tea towel… I’m okay if the plastic is damp.

I've got a whirlpool.
Its great if you get the warranty and keep rebuying the warrenty every time it gets replaced.

Every 4.5 years thing shits the bed, and we get a brand new one. $300 of warranty later.. Boom another 5 years of not worrying.

We have the top of the line G7000 series Miele, and they've had to replace the pump on it 5 times in ~2 years. Finally they're now replacing the entire machine because they can't figure out why it keeps failing. When it works, it's quiet and cleans well, but that's been a limited experience.

I just buy whatever GE I can get easily that has a stainless tub and disposal in it. Replace then every few years. But I’m someone who updates floors, paint and whatever else with a more current style ever few years. Nothing overly fancy, everything always feels new and fresh that way.

Habitat for humanity gets some pretty decent stuff from me. My parents and older sister have always done that, but on a more baller level.

How long do the Boschs last? I go through a new GE/Whirlpool/etc every 3 years - run it once a day, sometimes twice.
3 years? WTF. We've had our Bosch 800 for almost 5 years now. Run it daily and it's still perfect.

What? Ours is great. Granted we don't do a load of dishes and then open the thing up right away to use them. I thought most normal people load the thing throughout the day and run it after dinner. Empty it in the morning.

Bosch 800 series.

Don't worry too much about matching appliances and their finishes, either. I have KA, Samsung (never again) and Bosch in my kitchen and as long as the general style goes together, buying an appliance suite means you'd sacrifice one feature just to have matching finishes.

The only place I would advise against my own recommendations is if you are going with the white GE Monogram w/gold handles appliances. Then get everything. :)
we had to get a 500. we had an immediate need and the 800 was on 6 week lead time. :(

the 500 is good, but yeah 800 is the move. Or if you ball out - Miele is also strong strong strong.

In your house?

But why?
Because we go through a shit ton of dishes. I generally have to run the dishwasher twice a day, and each time takes two hours and 49 minutes. That's almost six hours out of the day that it's running. When we entertain that at least doubles and we quickly run out of dishes. So the only option is to hand-wash them, which is not sanitary and definitely not what I want to do while trying to entertain guests. So, enter the the commercial dishwasher.

Maybe it's just me but it feels like running your dishwasher 2x daily is not normal. What are you cooking and washing? An average dishwasher can hold enough for about 12 settings so 2x/day is enough for 20-24 settings... do you have a huge family?

Just four of us. But we do entertain large groups pretty often.

We run ours twice a day and it's totally full each load
