...to hook up my MBP to a TV?
and where would i get my hand on said items?
Does your TV had a DVI or VGA connection on it?
lets assume i were to use both kinds of tv's
which ones would do the job?
i need cables to connect my regular tube TV at my parents and my HD LCD at my place.
In for answers. I was disappointed to find out that this stuff didn't come included. I think my Powerbook G4 came with hookups for VGA and component video.
Apple has a mini-DVI to DVI (or VGA) cable. You should be able to get it at your local Apple Store.

Mini-DVI to VGA http://tinyurl.com/2jbeth
and here's a Mini-DVI to composite video http://tinyurl.com/2tvjet
each are $19.
[interesting tinyurl links, well the last 2 anyway]
is there an adapter so i can use the red/yellow/white av wires for my older tv?
never heard of a dvi to rca composite
but if you get the dvi to vga adapter, you can find hundreds of vga to rca adapters on ebay (for like 5 bucks). Just type in "vga to rca" in ebay search and get on of those. For sound, you have to get a seperate cable: search for "1/8 to rca" and get the male to male.
