A&P what do u think about my lighting?

    I like it. Simple split lighting with a lit background...

    thanks :) i used a nikon d80, 28-70mm lens, 2 soft boxes (cam left and right) and a bare flash with a blue gel on the backdrop.

    just place it in front of the flash and presto, instant color change

    how come it doesn't change the color in his skin tone? i mean, i see it cools it off in that picture, but the drastic blue is in the background.

    sorry for the stupid questions. just trying to absorb everything i can lately

    cuz that light wasn't anywhere near the subject. It was set to only light the background.

    The two lights on the subject aren't gelled.

    also i think changing backdrop colors with gels work best with a dark color backdrop
