i've been using an old version of ghost. simple, just boot it off a cd

however i've found that it will not support my 1.5TB drive

should i try out acronis true image?

Depends on the situation. I've been using DirXML cause I can migrate servers without any downtime ...

trueimage is pretty nice. pretty quick too on backups and recovery
maybe i'm used to the old way, but its nice that i can make a backup of an active system drive without having to reboot into dos

Acronis is actually a great program with lots of flexibility.

Boot from the prog in the OS, boot off the disk, system rollbacks, cloning drives, etc..

I actually used it recently to image about 140gb off of an old hdd to a new 500gb hdd for a little laptop upgrade.. Took the old drive out, put the new one in, hooked up the old on via enclosure and booted from the disk... About an hour and a half-2 hrs later the system was in windows like nothing ever happed, but the harddrive was Magically Bigger!

    LoL

i like the try& decide. makes for easy snapshot rollbacks. good for it you install a program and don't like it. i think that if you install some crazy virus and it wipes out the rollback file, that your fucked
