Nice guns, not a big fan of .357sig though
Im looking for a larger pistol than my S&W 469 9mm it's to small for my hand.
I dont want a compact. It has to be larger than the one I have now.
Pic for reference
.357sig is pretty comparable to .40, .40 is generally a bit cheaper. Also even though I usually mailorder or reload my ammo occasionally i get hard up for some and buy local in which case its impossible to find decently priced .357sig for plinking purposes(atleast around this area)
Well I sold it.
Think Im going with the Glock 22 .40 unless someone can reccomend something else to look at at the same price range.
I sold my Browning 7mm rem mag mentioned in other thread
P99 but depending where your getting the glock from its probably a bit more money. I got 2 of them 9 and 40 them
Will look at the P99
A guy I knew used to be in the army and worked on or in the armory (sp?)
He works for acadamy part time and said the new springfield XD series are nice. Anyone have experience with them?
I came in here to say "why not the G22 .40?" LOL
Much better decision IMO.
Other comparable guns in that price range: Springfield XD, Walther P99, S&W M&P .40, Desert Eagle .50...........
I never see 357SIG ammo on store shelves - 10mm is easier to find. 40 S&W, 45ACP, and 9mm are almost everywhere.
Except Wal-Mart apparently. I guess I wiped out their whole inventory of 9mm Winchester 100 rd white box target ammo............. 2 whole boxes
The other sad thing was... they didn't even have other brands, so I literally wiped them out. They didn't even have any .45 there at all, those spots were ALL empty, all brands. But .40 was pretty full though. Too bad I don't have my Sig P229 yet, I probably would have wiped them clean of that too.
Well i got the glock 22
Couldnt wait money was burning a hole in my pocket. Nice gun, never thought I'd buy one cause of all the glock sackriders but it is a quality item.
You'll love it. And the .40 is so smooth in that gun.
I like .357 sig but not in a glock.
I have the Glock 33 which is the sub-compact in .357 sig and love it.. I also own a g19 and g17, both are 9mm. I am going to get the Glock 32 next. I love the sig round. Also any Glock .40 mag will accept the 357 sig round. So if you have any 33round mags in 40 you can use them.
They don't make .357sig versions.
It's a cool idea, but there's no real advantage to it. You have to worry about ammo costs, overpenetration, added wear on guns not designed to fire it, and in reality a .40 will do just as much damage to a person.
so is .40
Oh fer Christ's sake kids... everyone knows the 9mm is the Golden Bullet.
