I was pleased for the most part.
I'd crop it down a little more, the surroundings are a bit distracting and the glare on the banner uber distracting
[otmain] no, no, no, yes, no, maybe, no, no, no....where have all the hottie sorority sluts gone [/otmain]
I did a couple different crops for them, they wanted the banner in it, but I duplicated the photo to a different crop as well.
you came too close on the left and left extra space on the right
not bad. only 1 unfortunate shadow
just trying to get the idea across.
yes, it bugs me, i could prob fix it in PP if I really wanted to.
i know, i was just yankin' yo chain
DON'T CRITICIZE ME!!!
Look at all those white girls.jpg
Kinda rude, but not too bad
how did you light this on, Joey?
isnt there supposed to be a minimum of one black or asian girl?
anyway, ceilings distracting
edit: o wait think i see an asian
the banner is what kills the shot for me.
good lighting, except the right side is a little hotter than the left.
im sure they will be happy with the outcome.
I would definitely take a pic of the banner though and PS it in.
The jury is out on this one...But that fucking banner is like wtf? Needs to be re-hung, bad style!
Right two-thirds/half being so hot kinda hurts it. But that's all you'd be able to do with one light and a line that long.
Honestly, it's horrible. The lighting is harsh, the poses are terrible, the background is bad and the sign all pelfed.
Banner - ugh.
I think the pose is inconsistent across the girls. Some are squating and bending over, some are half-way doing it, some obviously don't want to do it. I would have reposed them for more symmetry.
while it looks better, it'll probably go in a 8x10 frame, meaning they'd lose some girls
b800 on the camera right, 1/2 power into 60" brella
yeah. they fucked up the banner while hanging it, oh well.
horrible ? I know its not perfect but I think its far from horrible
i had no control over the background or sign, this is where they wanted it done. i don't know any other way to light a group this size "less harshly" with the equipment I've got. suggestions?
poses, fair enough, i could've directed them better, but dealing with drunk whining bitches really isn't my thing. I try but usually give up after 3 minutes of them not listening.
I'll keep that in mind
another reason why I left the extra space! for croppage
some ideas for lighting... even budget lights... mix a few lights in with the girls themselves diffused, and hidden from camera, to help light the back row(s), in particular the areas where you're getting unfortunate shadows. if you don't overdo it, and keep the light soft enough, it might look pretty good.
couple of globes or cheap lamps with something over them to diffuse the light, placed within the group to help light the girls not in the front row. Just an idea. I never said it would work.
