I need a new car soon. Yay or gay?
Enjoy the heat soak.
I heard a lot about heat soak problems with that car. I'm sure there are ways around it, but yeah - you'd wanna look into it further before making a purchase and being unpleasantly surprised.
The intercooler is located in a very bad place... on top of the engine, right under the hood. You can imagine that when the car is stopped it gets a little warm and is unable to do it's job.
So the engine will pull a lot of timing and boost when the intake temps go up on hot days.
i have a speed3....kinda similar to the 6
i love mine..
any fixes for this?
I'll have to browse some mazda forums too. i'm just too lazy right now
Just get an Evo
I get it in my STi from time to time... but I've got a big ass hood scoop and a water sprayer, so I can keep it at bay. Although when it happens, it makes me sad to see the lower boost level on the gauge.
Front mount intercooler. That's about it.
Meh, it's okay. I think you can do better for the money.
too expensive or owned by faggots that have beat them to shit
Still though, the car is decent for the money you can get them for. Just keep in mind that in 90+ degree weather you're just not going to get all it's got while driving at low speeds in traffic.
Legacy GT would be my suggestion, but I'm a bit of a Subaru nut.
I rode in an old client's MS6 and it was fun, but I wasn't impressed with it. Test drive a few vehicles and see what you like.
What are you looking for exactly? Sounds like you want something sporty and quick but comfortable too?
You could get a Legacy GT for cheaper.
you talking about the Evo or MS6?
Plus Subie AWD > Haldex
Legacy GT is also a good car... and it has REAL AWD. Not that fake "when it feels like it" crap.
MS6, although I do like the EVO also.
