what should i have before i head off to the gym?
carbs + protein
i know what i need im just asking for a food......... looking for something different i will usually have a protein shake with oats and a bannana
why would i want cereal .... not protein and the carbs are garbage pretty much
i was thinking post... sry
I usually do a shake of protein and dextrose/malto.. guess that won't be of much help
a whole wheat sandwhich with either tuna, turkey or chicken with tomato and a side fruit
peanut butter sandwich. i cant drink protein before i work out or i will puke in the gym. and if i have more than a pb sandwich in my stomach i dont get a pump, get really tired in the gym, and lift a lot less.
protein and a low gi carb.
cottage cheese and a carb.
complex carbs and whole food protein an hour and a half before workout(ie: whole wheat bread turkey sandwhich) then some simple carbs and a little protein right before/during workout(dextrose and whey).
Where do you get dextrose/malto?
Peanut M&Ms plus whey...
Almonds + some complex carbs.
