It's all there. Entertaining and really funny... The whole metrosexual craze began with this British series...
I highly recommend it
a guy that takes too much care of his looks, too much care as he going to a salon to get his eyebrows done while getting a mask and a feet exfoliation , taking care and looking neat if acceptable and highly advisable, that is even smart but there is a line between neat and obsessive, when you go over the line you are a metrosexual...
So your everyday "GQ" isn't considered metrosexual?
I can't wait till grunge is in again (they say fashion always repeats itself). then I can be like to all the damn meteros
Modern fashion sense
Taking care of your body
Most of us with style and taste have been doing it for years. Now its got a stupid label.
Oh yeah, get your eyelashes tinted. Chicks go nuts.
I get waxed as well.
I urge everyone to read that article. It elaborates on what Sam mentioned earlier.
Excellent read. This deserves to be a sticky for a while I think.
How does being concerned with your appearance have any bearing on your sexuality? It is a bullshit label. Nothing more.
ya... i guess that's what i don't understand... what does this have to do with your sexuality? as far as i know (am reading), these men are still heteros, correct?
i'm starting to think my brother could fit into this category... though he's still on the macho guy side, yet cares a lot about his looks.
Agreed.. Really doesn't belong in the forum. Being a "metrosexual" has nothing to do with alternative lifestyles.
it seems appropriate to me. seriously. it is a completely different lifestyle than your average person in pretty much any class. though I fall into the metro haters category, I'd say it seems pretty appropriate to this forum.
Taking care of yourself and having cultural knowledge suddenly makes you different than your average person? By your definition, yuppies of the 80's would have been part of an alternative lifestyle, which they certainly weren't. With a statement like that, you prove your ignorance to exactly what being a Metrosexual is. Hell, I've even provided a link to educate you exactly 5 posts up from you.
meh... until i saw your location (which is also mine before you ), i was gonna give you a chance, but it seems as the majority of floridians (farther southern, especially) seem anal about their looks.
i know it's a stereotype... don't get all hot and bothered. just my observations...
you misunderstood me
i'm saying that many males are insanely obscessed with their looks, but we're mostly talking southern areas... ie miami.
metrosexuality, to me, seems like a lame way to brand certain types of people.
Exactly, media buzzword.
Metro-sexual - Person who likes to have sex while riding around on public transportation.
in actuality being "metrosexual" goes beyond just a sense of style, it's also how a person carries themselves.
That's not a bad idea
someone that is concerned about grooming and fashion more than most women.
Ignorance > you
Hell, I even posted the history of the term. Hint: it's not american and it has nothing to do with what most think it is.
the term has changed through american media. the definition i gave is what GQ magazine posted a couple issues back.
