I'm taking off the Nikon i have on there now. Don't know what i want to replace it with though.
PS - no junk please.
Just a thought, Mueller APV?
btw - i prefer a 50mm
They any good? I'll be going from a Nikon Monarch UCC 3.5-10x50mm.
I don't know if it's better than a nikon, but for the price it's one of the best rimfire scopes out there.
Was thinking of maybe this:
Leupold VX-I 3-9x50mm
I'll look it up tomorrow to see if we get dealer pricing on them,
Mueller Eradicator is what you want. Well, it's what I want anyways for my .17hmr.
I think that may be a bit too much magnification.
Depends on what you're doing with it. Punching paper?
Putting polymer tipped bullets through the heads of squirrels.
3-9 is all the power you need. You don't need 25 power magnification at the distances you'd shooting at squirells anyway. I got my dad's 17 marlin zeroed @ 50 yds and I can put all 7 through a dime. Perfect for killing a squirell up to 75.
I just had a scope laying around when I bought mine. I think it's a Tasco wide view something or other. I didn't really expect much when I mounted it, but when I pull the trigger things almost always die, so I have no complaints.
The Warne rings are great. One night while I was spotlighting drunk I dropped the gun out the window of my truck, it's still zeroed perfect:rofl
