I think I have a drive that's on it's way out. I ran chkdsk /r and it corrected quite a few bad sectors, successfully marking it as bad and moving data to a good sector, but it gets stuck before it finishes scanning for bad sectors. It gets stuck at around 70% and the drive just keeps making the same sound, over and over. I'm surprised chkdsk /r doesn't just mark it as bad, and skip it if it can't do anything. Is there any other software, hopefully more powerful, than chkdsk? Thanks!
