when you applied for your permit?
I didn't have to give one, that's how it should be.
lol stupid CA
-Family values. My father taught me and my siblings when I was really young, nobody cares for me and my well being besides myself. That I should never rely on anyone else to ensure my well being.
-Because I refuse to be a victim. My ex girlfriends been raped. My home has been invaded while I was still home. My brother was shot in the face with a sawed off shotgun. When I was 7, a woman was being raped and eventually killed under my bedroom window in an alley of our apartment and the neighbors including family all refused to help because of fear, so I realized in the end, no one will help you but you. Because I've witnessed too much to realize the cops are never there when I need them.
-Because I've genuinely been fascinated with firearms since I was 6 years old and was given a stack of gun rags that I read cover to cover.
No shit. I didnt know I needed a reason.
No reason needed in utah.
My reason was because I could
Because I wanted to take responsibility for my own life. That, and b/c I can
When I originally applied for my ccw the job I was doing was deliveries and collections in a mostly cash business sometimes by the end of the day I'd over $50k on me.
The world is not getting any safer. No one is going to protect my family and myself with the vigor that I am. The heft of a full size 1911 on my hip isn't always comfortable, but it is very comforting.
Cause I can't carry a cop.
"To lawfully increase the chances I will have a gun on me if I come across someone/thing that needs to be shot."
but you can carry a donut.. so in theory....
That's exactly how you stated it?
Good to know NY believes 50k is more deserving of protection than on of it's citizens.
When I first applied, it was to clear up any gray area when I went to and from the range. I'm planning on carrying full time in the near future, just need a different holster.
I was robbed at gunpoint before I was 21 and never felt so vulnerable, so I vowed to not be put in such a vulnerable situation again without deadly force.
I work as a medic 80 hrs a week and I've seen some of the most ignorant violence known to man kind. Stupid shit. 90 year old man gets beat to death in his own yard for TWENTY dollars.
Drive bys with .22LRs. Yes. .22LR. Damn gang bangers found out you could shower an out door get together or group for just $7.
Retarded old guy gets a lawner mower blade thrown at him, breaking his radius/ulna.
Since I've moved back to my hometown, I've been stepped on 4 different times... leaving the bar, leaving the mall.... leaving Subway. Oh what the fuck? It's Subways dammit!
A random homelss guy walked up to me and my ex, circled the car to get to her... I caught him pushed him back and both his hands went under his hoodie. For the first time ever I knew this was the now or never point. I had this feeling that..... blah
Anywaz, the next month I applied for my carry permit.
If I don't carry it it will be at my house alone and may attack a school or something.
I didn't need one.
I want to carry to ensure my safety and the safety of my loved one's. I firmly believe that it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Oh, and there's just to many stupid fucks here in Kansas City that'll rob you for $10.
Yesterday at work we had 2 cop cars and the wagon to take these guys to jail that we caught trying to steal some shit, and this random guy comes running up to us telling us and the cops that someone just pulled a gun on him in the parking lot and told him to give them his car.
just put because our founding fathers said you should be able to
oh wait, you guys are talking about "the reason you put on your application?"
my bad, those were just "my" reasons. No way did I put that 10 page essay response on there. lol
