Not trying to bulk really. Just need a good recipe for energy and to be filled up for a while.
milk, scoop of whey, 2 or 3 eggs, oats. blend and chug.
whey, ice cubes, skim milk, 1 cup of egg whites
Whey, skim milk, banana, peanut butter
Whey, skim milk, frozen strawberries/blueberries/raspberries, banana
close to what i just made.
20 ozs of skim milk
1 tbsp of pb
1/2 cup of oats
1.5 scoops of whey
Sound alright? Like i said, not trying to bulk.
Edit: meant to quote chizzle
if you're not doing it already, it helps to blend the oats dry for a bit before you add everything else. Also, even though you're not trying to bulk, a tbsp or so of olive oil will add some good fats and might keep you feeling full a little longer.
edit: just realized you're already putting PB in there.
1tbs Wheat germ, banana, 5tbsp of skim milk powder, a big ol' chunk of natural peanut butter (Or almond butter if you are balling), 1 cup skim milk/homo milk/soy milk it really doesn't matter, some fruit like an apple or berries or melons (Alternatively you can add in some fruit juice since your body will need sugar right in the morning),a tbsp of virgin coconut oil (Don't let anyone tell you it's unhealthy, the saturated fats in virgin are very healthy) and what I like to do for health reasons (You can't taste it), is add a large handful of a leafy green veggie. I really like kale and spinach but you can add romaine, endive, collard greens, or swiss chard.
All in all an extremely nutritious shake with lots of fiber and protein and it costs me about $1.50 per serving (In Canada, so it should be cheaper where you are). This is my post workout shake though, but you can use it in the morning.]\
Oh ya, sometimes I add rolled oats but I don't like the texture in shakes much so I use wheat germ instead.
This is key, otherwise the oats just get really clumpy and sink down to the bottom.
ice, vanilla protein powder, blueberry/pomegranate V8 Fusion Lite juice, any flavor yogurt, 1/2 cup rolled oats
Anyone else use only egg-whites for their liquid as opposed to water or milk?
I figured its either extremely smart or extremely dumb, but it tastes delicious.
1 cup oats
2 scoops whey
handful frozen blue berries
1+ cup water
I use both; probably 3:1 egg whites to skim milk.
this is my daily breakfast:
1 cup 2% milk
1 cup oats
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 scoop whey
1/2 cup pasteurized egg whites
You could easily remove half the oats and take out the banana to reduce the carbs, but I personally need them in the morning to carry me through my workout.
u guys ever accidentally dump too many frozen strawberries in a shake? it comes out like ice cream
