Eagles - Hell Froze Over - Hotel California
I used to have a really good quality rip of that, but not anymore
Why test the range of something with music as limited as classical and jazz?
I wanna test mids and highs
Glen Miller - In the mood
Iv'e heard some pipe organ recordings that have strong output in the 10hz range...
The dynamic range on most classical music is a million times better than pop music too.
limited? you've just proven what an idiot you are. I bet you think only highly-compressed techno-trash can tax a system?
incidentally, here's what I would use (speaking from stuff in my collection)
Arturo Sandoval - Americana
Arturo Sandoval - For Love or Country
The Marsalis Family - A Jazz Celebration
Steve Cole - NY LA
Joe Sample - Invitation
Kirk Whalum - Into My Soul
John Coltrane - Coltrane Jazz
Chuck Mangione - Main Squeeze
Branford Marsalis - Crazy People Music
Count Basie & His Orchestra - Best of Count Basie
actually, if anyone has a host I can use for a relatively large RAR, I'll host up some good rips for a "Jazz" test CD.
that would be fantastic, I would love some good jazz.
In for host
did you hear the strong 10Hz output itself? If so where?
I didnt "hear" the 10hz, but it was there, you could see how slow the cone was moving when it played back. I think it was an organ buster telarc cd that it was off of.
I was more curious about the sub that was used in the setup... what was that?
It was a 18" blueprint 1803 woofer in a 15cuft box tuned to 18hz powered with a qsc rmx1450 amplifier. But I sold it
Ive still got pictures if you want to see it.
post em up
I was looking for ideas for a friend... he just settled on an SVS PC-Ultra. I was hoping we could get that pretty low
That's all I have
Nice... that thing's huge!
what's that last pic? Is that part of a different box sub?
that last pic is the actual sub in that huge box.
Eh, I knew it was something around there
It was certainly low enough to the point I saw the cone vibrating quite far and quite slow, yet heard no sound.
Yeah, that is the enclosure for my brother's 18" PA woofer. When I first got the 1803 I wanted to test it out quick so I mounted it to that box
Herb Alpert - some nice trumpet work
For voices try Yma Sumac
04, love the downfiring tube setup...
so was anyone gonna host some files?
