There's not really such a thing as a 'class 3 dealer.'
Razardica is right, the SOT which means Special Occupations Taxpayer, is an 07 FFL which is the difference.
Machine guns, suppressors and short barreled stuff.
One sells cool stuff.
The other sells really cool stuff.
so you can't transfer NFA firearms unless you are an 07 FFL?
Not true. You need a manufacturing FFL if you want to have a Class 2 SOT. You just need a dealer FFL to have a Class 3 which is just the ability to transfer the guns, not make them.
Stop spreading bad information. 07 is an FFL. Its a manufacturing FFL. It also allows you to deal. 01 is a dealer FFL. You can't manufacture guns on an 01 FFL.
SOTs are totally different than FFLs. You have to have a corresponding FFL in order to have an SOT since the NFA firearms are also title 1 firearms. A class 3 SOT (dealer in NFA firearms) must have an FFL that allows him to deal. A class 2 SOT (manufacturer of NFA) must have an FFL that allows manufacturing.
