Fuckers around here charge $50! Is that highway robbery or what?
there is a guy around here that does it for $25, most places however charge $50 plus sales tax
$50-60 is the norm here. Use to be able to get them for $20-25.
I used to be able to find $20, now i'm paying $30 just out of laziness for looking somewhere else.
An arm and a leg. One charges $65. Another charges $100.
In SA: a few of the ranges charge $20, which I've used twice. The good ol' boys gun shops, which are full of pricks, charge at minimum $50.
In Charleston: the two gun shops here charge $50 plus sales tax. Fortunately I found a FFL on Gunbroker that does them for $20 flat.
Sidenote: How can some dealers charge sales tax and others not?
Around here, I've luckily found someone doing it for $40, but many of the shops will charge $100 if they will do it at all.
$60 flat fee at my favorite shop or 10% at the closest shop. Have to love a $20 transfer fee on my P6, if only he would transfer lower receivers
$45 20 minutes south of SF
$100 in merced
$125 in merced
$25 an hour north of merced
where do you go?
One place wanted 10% of their profit if they sold the gun themselves. Another place wanted $100. I haven't stepped foot in either place since. My local guy does it for $20 for guns under $500 and $25 for all else.
20-30, but negotiable
One shop here that I will no longer goto wants $70 + 10% of the cost of the gun.
$10 ftw; If it's a distributor like CDNN it's like $35 or so
2 places within 2 miles, one is 15, ones is 25.
the 15 one also charges fee to ship stuff so i use the 25 guy to send out.
$170 FFL fee on a $1k gun.
What location? My brother just moved to ATL and is looking for a guy to do transfers.
I was calling around cause I was thinking of buying an HK91, so it would of been a $290 transfer
My shop does:
$50 Transfer Fee
$10 Background Check Fee
I admit it is a lot, but we rarely do them considering we have some of the best gun prices in the state. The $10 fee is new and was recommended by outside sources.
And if we know you, we'd only charge $25-35.
$15 at my local range.
Can you even do that, legally? Just charge whatever you want depending on who you are?
Well, I guess $50 isn't so bad after all, but I wish I had a "local guy" who can do it for $15 or $20.
