CAR Wheel/Tire help (chevy)

Heya, Im rebuilding my 78 impala over the winter and need to order my wheels.
I want the car to have wheels/tyres that look like this...

I know those are American Racing Torque Thrust II's, 17x8 and the tyres are Nitto NT450 fonts 255/50R17 and backs 275/40R17.

Problem is, I don't know what backspacing or offset I need??

Measure your current backspace/offset and go from there.

Why not just check with American Racing or whoever you buy the wheels from?

they dont list 17x8's for my car, need to know what to order ahead of time since its not a standard factory replacement

Since their site recommends a 17x7 4" backspace for your car, their 17x8 4" backspace should work if your car can take the extra inch to go towards the fender. I'm thinking there's a reason they don't recommend the 17x8 in their app guide. Maybe it works on the rear but not the front. You'll have to use your Google-fu and see what others are running.

Never seen one of those, must be rarer than chrome Torq Thrusts. Will this device allow me to passively collect information with little effort on my part?
