Now I am a Shellback.
Thank you. The "process" was pretty weak as our upper COC is paranoid about hazing. I was extremely disappointed in how easy it was. From my rude awakening at an early 0545 until being dubbed "Shellback" was about three and a half hours. I was so pumped about today, it let me down alot. The price of having women onboard... Oh well from now on at least I get to be on the other side of the game whenever I cross the line.
Cant view that on the ship what is it?
Looks somewhat homosexual, like every other military "tradition".
Crossed the equator did ya?
congrats to ya
what ship are you on? we had our wog day the 14th
yeah, being an east coast sailor sucks. i'll always be a wog.
my shellback ceremony also only took a few hours , i was under the impression it was an all day thing .... to be honest i was kind of dissapointed .
Stethem, are you guys out with us for all this bullshit?
yes, ET over on the Lake Erie...
Cool, what NEC's? Would you consider a cross deck? lol
HF, UHF, NAVMACS, 2M
transfering in 2 months....sorry you dont want to be here anyway... trust me
ironically I just watched something on discovery channel about this 2 days ago.. congrats!
what the gay
Shellback Card, never leave home without it...
Congrats on becoming a trusty crusty. I got my Golden in 91,and have crossed twice since. yes, as I watched the newer Navy go through this, I sat back and said.. wow.. how much easier they have it.
But I have to disagree with you about the female thing.. The female berthing was the place they threatened to send you to when I crossed. The real reason things have gotten gentler is that some folks take things too far. I am sure we have all seen the nice bruises people get from frocking.. but the fact some folks have come away with broken bones.
But thats a discussion for another time.
