where can you buy government issue surplus firearms?
Find one from a private person
Any gun show will have GI issue 1911s along with any auction site.
But as for a direct govt purchase it isn't happening. The ones CMP get are either sent back, kept, museums, etc etc. But aren't sold privately.
I guess ill have to wait for the next gun show in town to pick one up then. I didnt know if certain individuals would buy bulk from the govt then resell them like they do other govt surplus.
Not in recent years. People when exiting the service could purchase weapons etc and I believe the govt even offered sales at one time. But that was all years ago.
Nowadays the only thing the govt offers weapon wise are M1903, M1917, and M-1s through CMP.
1903s are sold out
Well it was only a matter of time.
I have to many.
now how much do you want for one of those? trade ar stuff?
I was wanting to get a 1903 someday. And I know I couldve gotten a better deal on there than anywhere else
Well unless someone starts reproducing them. They haven't been made since the 40s. And have been sold since what the late 1950s or early 60s?
I have a feeling that whaever CMP had is what was left.
Nah. Id have to pass then. I was wanting an older one.
Looks like Im going to be paying a premium someday for an original
Maybe, But there's still plenty of $500-$600 03s out there. They won't be goin anywhere soon.
Going to get mine from these guys, in chrome.
Also going to order one of their CZ52s that they've hard chromed
Not a fan of shiny guns
you wouldnt last 5mins at pimp school
I think they look pretty sweet. I need to get at least one chromed gun. An AK would be badass
My chrome P-64 is one of the ones sold by classic arms. I bought it second hand, but it's very well done.
