im lookin to upgrade the ram in my mbp (eventually).
where is the best place to get it from.
i put crucial in my first mini (1.4 g4) and new macbook (2.4 intel) and patriot in my second mini (1.8 intel)
all have worked just fine
so I should go with this: http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=FF1F93F9A5CA7304
how much of a difference should I notice going from 2 GB to 4 GB? I use my computer for normal stuff: web browsing, email, music, etc. I do download a lot of music/movies.
I'd say 2gb was perfectly fine for what you do now.
That being said, i got my 4gb for $40 after rebate from crucial. so if you can score a deal you minus whale.
yeah it works fine for me but it definitly isnt as fast as it used to be and id like to get that back. i also just ordered an external hd.
corsiar 4gb from newegg is the deal. its lower latency than most out there.
If it's got slower, try reinstalling OSX if you can. A fresh install will boost it back up for sure.
i bought the 4GB OWC RAM and it's working flawlessly
