where can i download them ?
may be something that make it looks like OS X or stuff like that
buy a mac if you want OS X
actually I think one of the good things to try is stylexp(?)
Yip, Style XP is good, so is Windows Blinds.
Style XP has a theme called OS X
StyleXP.exe - 612K mem usage & 00 CPU except at boot-up or changing settings obviously.
Y'z dock is still really cool
I haven't had any trouble with styleXP. but maybe i am just a lucky guy.
go windows blinds instead of style xp. style xp screwed up my computer and deleted all the icons for like my computer and stuff when i uninstalled it.
on the YzDock..
Use Windowblinds, StyleXP used to come bundled with junk and was a real PITA to uninstall..
Windowblinds is the bomb. The new version 5.0 integrates into the OS so there's no extra program running in the background. $20 gets you the full version (now with transparent window effects zomg!) and all the free skins you want. There are some damn good ones out there too; I think Stardock hosts the GUI Olympics every year to round up top-notch skins to sell to people along with the registered version of the program.
I'm a big fan of stylexp, I would recommend it
windown blinds, stylexp, yzdock all do the same thing: hog system resources. Just patch your uxtheme.dll and download your skins elsewhere, skip the bloated eye candy apps.
The problem with patching uxtheme.dll is that you have to turn off Windows File Protection to make it work right. Even though WFP wastes its time making sure you don't accidentally fuck up Notepad.exe and other such nonsense, it does help keep XP stable.
Like I said, WindowBlinds doesn't run any extra processes anymore. That went away when they came out with version 5.0.
