    i know tarantino has said he referenced some anime for some of the concepts in kill bill.. he made some of the cast members watch some too...


    does anyone know, or has tarantino said, which films in particular influenced him ?

    im well aware of the distiction between the terms, gogo was a reference to anime, as was the delayed-followed-by-massive blood effects. ect ... im asking about all three

    Considering that Production I.G handled the work for KILL BILL (and the fact that they're one of the top anime production houses in Japan).

    Blood: The Last Vampire (one of Production I.G.'s latest works......a little Japanese schoolgirl wielding a phat sword).

    This movie DEFINENTLY inspired the anime flashback scene in KILL BILL so there you go. Done and done.
