What is are good groups of muscles to work out on the same day? Currently I started going to the gym and planned on 4 times a week, with Sun,Mon,Wed,Thurs as gym days. I was checking on exrx (per the sticky) to educate myself on workout routines, and I saw thier ABXABXX 2day split template which looked to fit what I was going for. I was thinking about going with the Upper/Lower split, but it seems like that might be overdoing it working out the whole upper body one day, and likewise for the lower. Is this a sound routine, or should I try to break it down more and do Arms/Shoulders, Chest/back, Legs. or something of the sort. Or if someone could suggest a group of muscles to work out on the same day that would be great too. I feel so lost when it comes to working out, and its hard to find good material to learn about it when many sources contradict the other.
