The last one, toss another light or two in there to get rid of the shadows, use a numerically higher fstep to get the muzzle and beavertail as sharp as the trigger, and check your white balance.
True. I need more lighting. I went for the shallow DOF on purpose though. And the WB I messed with in PS quite a bit.
Edit: But I DO appreciate your opinion, that's why I asked.
What Soybomb said. First two are a little out of focus too.
I think if you did a tighter crop and didn't try to have all of the gun in the frame it would look more intentional and less like a technical flaw.
I'm thinking more like this
Remember you don't have to have all of the gun in the frame.
Maybe have the barrel at the bottom and focus on the words government model in the middle of the frame and you can see the edges starting to blur out some
How about getting some new sights first.
I'm gay and don't like 1911s
I've seriously considered new sights but I'm concerned with how they'd holster. Suggestions?
What do you mean? You talking about wear on the sights, or the holster sight channel not being deep enough?
i like that guard. mine's all rounded
Are you on one of those gay arfcom forum photo contests.
I guess the former? Or also I'm concerned that taller sights would drag on the draw.
No. Just curious.
Image 3 is the best if you didn't have it so blurry...
1911's are supposed to be black. Nickel, stainless, and other silver-looking finishes are gay. GAAAAY. Except reverse two-tone. And in that case, it better be a fucking Bren Ten.
these are stainlness:
My matte nickel kicks ass.
