I used one at SC04 last November, I have also seen one at an Apple store nearby. They are huge.
I've used one a few times, but I bought the 20.
I used one at the Apple store.
Here's a pic of my 15'' over the 30'' screen.
Here is XP running on mine.
my gawd.. that is amazing, i want to pick up a 20in but I can justify spending a grand right now...
I have the 20", but have used the 30" at the Apple Store. It's AMAZING!
only at an apple store. ITs the most beautiful thing ive ever seen.
And also so pricey...
I love my 20"
using a 20in rite now
My 23" HD Sony and 18" pro Sony flatscreens suit me nicely.
I stopped by Dell Direct in the mall today in hopes of seeing the new 20" Dell cinemas for comparison to my 20" ACD, but there wasn't one there. Only their 17" and their LCD TVs.
i was gonna get a 23", but then I saw the 30" and couldn't settle for the 23". But I can't afford the 30" either, so I'm gonna stick it out with my 19" lcd until I can justify the 30".
I would not get a 23" until Apple fixes the Pink problems.
I got to play on a system with DUAL 30" displays at the NAMM convention. Apple had a booth setup for Logic 7. Dual 30" is ridiculous. room for everything.
Dual 30 is just insane. Unless you drive Ferrari's for beaters, I think dual 30s is pointless. At that I would rather spend that 2nd $3000 on something worthwhile.
I'm gonna get triple 30s and spinning rimz for my quad-core G5 PowerBook so there, fuckers
I was looking in the Apple store in Indy, and when I went up close to the displays...I noticed that they showed some signs of not being as Sharp as I wanted it to be, or thought. I went up to the new iMacs...and they are all sharp screens, but the 20inch, and sometimes 30 looked blurry, or not sharp...
Did anybody else notice this?? Or am I just too use to an CRT....hummm
you can't look at em really close. Lot at it 2-3 feet away like you would use it. Should look good. Up close you'll see the pixels.
i have this problem with most LCD and Plasma TV's. I still prefer my old school CRT-based RPTV to all the new fancy stuff (DLP, etc.). Even though I know I'm not going to be sitting close enough to the picture to see the pixels when I'm actually watching something on the TV, it bugs me that the pixels are visible.
also, i've noticed that the demo machine they have set up at Fry's by my house doesn't have the bad boy video card that lets the 30" cinema display work at full resolution, so everything does look especially pixelated and not that impressive. the one at the apple store is running off the good card at full resolution and it's beautiful.
that musta been fucken sick! but i mean what do you do with all that room. a 23 is already big enough for two spreadsheets, i really can't see the point of 60 inches.
I couldn't be happier with my 20". One of the best buys I've ever made.
