700 for 7 on deadlifts
That's Steve McDonald, he competes in WSM!!
I love the people on youtube also
wow.... i could point out at least 3 things that are TERRIBLY wrong with this video. NUMBER 1 - Straps = illegal.. and the guy above is talking about using a pronated grip?
NUMBER 2 - any deadlift over 1 rep is useless, all those bouncing deadlifts mean nothing in a contest
NUMBER 3 - TERRIBLE hitch on rep 7... nice shrug too
onto the good news... you're strong... too bad theres no brains behind the opporation
Straps are legal in strongman. In some strongman contests they have a deadlift for reps, so he's practicing for an event. I really hate the hitching rule, it doesn't help you so if you lock it out it should count. Deadlifting for reps also builds incredible amounts of SIZE!!!
strong as an ox
You're right. I meant to say just Strongman.
Steve Mac kicks all kinds of ass. He competes in IFSA.
Yea I know I just find it funny that someone is talking shit on youtube about it, when they couldnt move 700lbs off the floor for a 1/2"
I'm pretty sure he has done IFSA(not wsm) contests.
Yoke walk, 925 lbs, 80 feet.
OK, I know very little about strongman type stuff. I just posted that up as a reference.
Scary seeing someone that strong
I mean, seriously, get a brain morans!
