ive always thought most people on f&n go strapless, whats the consensus?
I have not ever used them...
I used them for rack pulls once a couple months ago and hated them. I dont really lose my grip unless its a shitty bar
i use them now because i use overhand grip. I never had to use them when doing mixed.

what made you switch to overhand only?
I don't think I would know how to use them properly

yes because, 1) bars sucks, 2) hands get sweaty, 3) can't use chalk
i use chalk

We don't have chalk, so yes, I use them for deads.
If you are worried about symmetry, then it's probably a good idea to go with overhand or at least switch up your grip. I dont usually switch up and the right side of my neck is noticeably thicker than the left.
If you use a mixed grip a lot, you need to be alternating which hand is over/under
i only use straps when i do shrugs

my grip is pathetic
i can pull 385 max with straps
without its more like 300
i've since quit, now i just DL naked
seems like it defeats the purpose
i think if you can't grip and have to use straps, you need to check yourself on your forearm strength
