why are high hp 94+ toyota supra tt's so slow in the quarter mile?
tractoin problems...my bud just got his back he will have 808whp with race gas and 28 pounds of boost he is hoping to get into the 10.90 with race slicks....

For the numbers, they are slow in the 1/4 compared to tons of other cars with the same power/weight
People think 'more power is better!' The first 9 second supra, by Sound Performance, had a t-63 or t66 I forget. Still most people insist on going with something like a T88 and making 800+rwhp. Also, the IRS is really not set up for drag.

a little know v-8 with a displacement of 5.0 liters. Ford only made it for a few years. I have done almost everything you can thing to it, but charge it. Suspension, yadayada, everything
what can be done to help the IRS...i heard some people putting in a 9 inch ford rear?but then you wont be able to take turns with the car...
Well most people like to highway race now, and a t-88 supra properly tuned would be extremely hard to beat on the highway.
They need more cowbells.
It's not totally the IRS. The rear diff has a habit of transfering all the power to 1 wheel when the car is high hp and on drag slicks and shifting in to 3rd gear. Meaning, instantly hitting the wall at like 140mph
